My Digital Rewards FAQ

  • Where do I find my code?

Your Reward Code is found on the back of the reward card you received from a store leader. This code will give you access online to select one of the four gift selections.

Your Gift Code is specific to the gift you select and will be emailed to you after making your selection (with the exception of the music download option). This Gift Code will come with instructions on how to claim your gift.

  • How is the Digital Entertainment gift different?

The digital entertainment gift will give you points to use to down load songs, movies, TV episodes, eBooks or audiobooks.  If you have points left over at the end of checkout, the system will “bank” those points.  If you receive another Reward card from a store leader and choose the Digital Entertainment gift again, the points from you new reward Card will be added to the points left over from your last reward Card.

  • I haven’t received my email with the code for my award choice.

Check your spam folder.  Also, most orders will be emailed to you within 24 hours.  However it will take up to 5 business days to receive your magazine gift code via email.

  • Who do I contact with a question about a specific order?

Contact customer support:  support@jcprecognition.com

  • How long is my Reward Code valid?

The expiration date of your Reward Code is on the back of your card.

  • How long is my Gift Code valid?
  • Pizza  Gift Codes are valid for 6 months from date of issue.
  • Magazine Gift Codes are valid for 6 months from date of issue.
  • Movie ticket Gift Codes are good for 2 months from date of issue.  Once you print the movie voucher to take to the theater, you have 6 months to use that voucher.
  • Music downloads are good until the expiration date printed on the back of your reward card.

  • What types of digital entertainment content can I redeem for?
    • You can currently redeem for music, movies, TV shows, eBooks and audiobooks.
  • How can I redeem my code for digital content?
    • Enter your code on the website.  You will be prompted to create an account on your first visit, and to log in on your subsequent visits.  The credits provided on your code will be added to your account and can be used to order from the catalog. Once you’ve made an order, follow the steps to receive your media.
  • Does it work on my mobile device?
    • The site supports iOS and Android devices, Kindle Fire, and Nook Tablet/Color. Some downloads are large files, so please be aware of your mobile carrier’s plan limitations and charges. It’s best to be connected to a wi-fi network.
    • iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch users: iOS does not allow you to save a file directly to your device.  You may not have another chance to save your file to a desktop or laptop media library. We recommend iOS users download their files first on a desktop computer and then sync to your iOS device.
  • Is this available where I live?
    • The digital content is only available to members in the U.S and Canada.
  • Do I get a receipt for my content?
    • You will receive a confirmation email for each redemption. If it does not appear in your inbox, check your spam folder.
  • Can I get my credits refunded?
    • There are no refunds for digital content. Please contact customer service if you have problems with your download.
  • Who should I contact regarding questions about my credit balance?
    • Please contact customer service information regarding your account.
  • What music is available?
    • We have partnered with several of the major labels to make their music available in the catalog. There’s a large variety of both current releases and classic titles — much of it updated weekly.
  • What format is the music? Are CDs available?
    • Songs/Tracks are in the widely-supported MP3 format. We provide only digital content — no CDs or physical products are available.
  • Why can I not redeem for some tracks that are listed in the catalog?
    • Songs available for download will have a download button.  Some tracks are available only by redeeming for the full album.  Future releases are only listed to inform you of their schedule, but cannot be downloaded until the release date displayed.
  • Where did my download go?
  • Where will the music be stored on my computer?
    • You can save your downloaded MP3 files to where you currently store your other music, such as iTunes or Windows Media Player.
    • For iTunes, save your file to your desktop. Then open iTunes and from the File menu, select “Add File to Library” (Mac users: “Add File to Library”). Select the MP3 (on your desktop) and it should be available to play immediately. (more info: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1473 )
    • For Windows Media Player, you can save your MP3 anywhere on your computer (the “Music” folder next to your “Documents” is a good idea). When you then double-click the file, the Player will play it and automatically add it to the library if it hasn’t been added before. (More details: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Add-items-to-the-Windows-Media-Player-library)
    • For each download, you will also receive an email containing the link so that you can download to multiple devices.
  • Music
    • Can I share the music?
      • No. Music is “DRM-free” but piracy is still illegal. You can copy it to any personal or home device. You can play it on a local network (home or at work, for example). You can also share music with your spouse or children. However, copyright law is still in effect. Passing songs around to friends, or sharing them on social networks, is piracy. We respect all artists in our catalog and expect our members to do the same.
    • Metadata required by some record companies...
      • Some record companies that supply our music require all companies that sell their downloadable music to include extra metadata with each download.  Each purchased MP3 from any of these record companies include embedded data about the order (id, date, etc). No personal information is embedded. The title’s detail page indicates if this metadata is added.  This extra metadata does not affect the quality or playback experience in any way.
    • Can I transfer the music to other devices I own (smartphone, tablet, etc.)?
      • Yes.  You can go to your music library to sync to other devices.
    • What if I download the wrong track by mistake?
      • Music downloads cannot be cancelled or returned after you have redeemed for them. Redemption is a 2-step process. We ask you to confirm each redemption before processing the order.
    • What if the track does not download or doesn't download completely?
      • In most cases, you can retry the download link in the confirmation email or on your download history page. Contact customer service at any time and we will help you through the process.
  • Movies and TV
    • How will I be able to watch a movie?
      • Movies will be available for purchase and rental and can be viewed by streaming the content over a wi-fi connection.
    • How does it work on my iPad/tablet? Smartphone?
      • The difference between an iOS device (iPod, iPhone, and iPad) and other mobile devices is the inability to save files. You can play music and movies instantly (streaming) but you won’t be able to download. However, your download link will be sent you your email inbox and also listed on your Download History page for downloading at a later time to another device.
    • Can I view the movie on my TV?
      • If you have a device with an internet browser connected to your TV, you can browse the catalog. Most video game consoles like the Wii, Nintendo PS3, and XBOX have a built-in web browser, as do several Google TV models. However, most non-traditional device such as these have not been fully tested.

  • Do I need to be online to view film?
    • Yes, streaming any media to your device requires an internet connection.
  • What if my movie is interrupted?
    • If your internet connection is interrupted while playing a movie, your transaction is still valid and your link will work when the connection is restored. Contact customer service at any time and we will help you through the process.
  • TV Shows
    • What TV shows are available?
      • A wide range of seasons and single episodes from major TV networks and cable channels are available. We're adding more seasons and episodes as often as we can, from classics to currently-running shows.
    • How do I watch a TV episode or a whole season?
      • After using your miles for an episode or whole season, you'll see a button to start watching right away.  Your TV shows can be viewed anytime over a broadband connection.
    •  Do I have to redeem for the whole season?
      • In most cases you can redeem for individual episodes or a full season depending on the number of redemption points you have to redeem.
    • Can I view episodes on my TV?
      • If you have a device with an internet browser connected to your TV, you can browse the catalog. Most video game consoles like the Wii, Nintendo PS3, and XBOX have a built-in web browser, as do several Google TV models.
    • Do I need to be online to view video?
      • Yes. Streaming any media to your device requires a broadband internet connection such as 3G or wi-fi. The video will adjust to the speed of your connection to try to provide you the best possible experience.
    • What if the video doesn’t play?
      • If your internet connection is interrupted while playing a program, your transaction is still valid and your link will work when the connection is restored. Contact customer service at any time and we will help you through the process.
    • What if I am using an Android device?
      • Android devices at the time of this writing do not support DRM video playback. If and when future versions of Android become compatible, we will allow purchases.
    • eBooks
    • What format are these? How can I read these eBooks?
      • e-Books are available in two formats, both with Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) DRM: Adobe EPUB and Adobe PDF.
      • You can read any eBook either with the free Adobe Digital Editions (link to: http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions) app for your desktop or laptop, or OverDrive Media Console (link to: http://www.overdrive.com/Software/omc/) on many mobile devices including iPad, iPod Touch, Android phones and tablets, Kindle Fire, Nook Color or Nook Tablet, or Sony Reader.
      • There are other paid apps that can accept either format as well such as Aldiko and Bluefire.
    • Downloading books to your desktop or laptop:
      • On your Mac or Windows computer, install the free Adobe Digital Editions app. Run the app and create your account when prompted. Once that is done, your downloads will open into the app immediately.
      • Downloading books to your iOS device (iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone) or Android device:
      • Start by downloading the free OverDrive Media Console app for iOS. Tap the app icon to launch it and log into your Adobe account.
      • Once the app is installed, purchasing and downloading eBooks from the website will launch OverDrive Media Console and display your book.
    • Downloading books to your Kindle Fire:
      • Tap "Settings" (gear or cog icon) in the upper-right corner of the screen.
      • Tap "More”... scroll down and tap "Device”
      • Switch on "Allow Installation of Applications From Unknown Sources"
      • Download and install the OverDrive Media Console app from OverDrive. A small “1” will appear at the upper left of your Fire indicating the download progress.
      • Any eBooks you download from the website will now open automatically into OverDrive. (Note: you’ll need to authorize the Fire with your Adobe account the first time.)
    • Downloading books to your Nook Tablet or Nook Color:
      • Nook Tablet and Nook Color users should first download eBooks to their desktop or laptop computers using Adobe Digital Editions app. Once downloaded, connect your Nook to your computer using the USB cable and your Nook will appear in the ADE on the left column. You can then transfer your book to the Nook (click and drag the title onto the Nook name).
    • Copying/Moving/Syncing to your mobile devices:
      • The Adobe account that you used to download your eBook allows you to copy the book to 6 authorized devices. Any mobile device must have OverDrive Media Console or similar app and be logged into the same Adobe account to sync a particular book title.
      • Connect your mobile device to your computer to sync books from one to the other.
